Hi! My name is Julia and I’m a design engineer.
Right now, I’m a Product Design Engineer at Apple on the iPhone team.
Previously, I was a Product Designer at KiwiCo, where I designed and developed fun-forward, educational projects for kids. I also developed and hosted video content for KiwiCo’s YouTube page.
Before that, I worked at Tomorrow Lab in New York City inventing hardware products for startup clients. Using my skills in mechanical design, prototype fabrication, and project management, I helped create lots of cool stuff with Tomorrow Lab that I can’t share yet due to client privacy.
I graduated from Yale University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering with a focus in Industrial Design. While in school, I worked at Yale’s Center for Engineering, Innovation, and Design, where I helped many community members work through design problems and learn new skills, from laser cutting to 3D modeling software to sewing.
I’m also the former President and Culinary Director of Y Pop-Up, Yale’s premier pop-up restaurant organization, and have educational and professional experience in the sustainable food space.
When I’m not designing, you can find me playing Ultimate Frisbee, hiking, or cooking for my friends and family.
